Singapore District Tour – Trace the history of Singapore

Be mesmerized by the tale of Singapore’s transformation!

The Civic District Trail covers Singapore history from the colonial period through World War II right to its independence.

Start the tour with a leisurely river boat ride from Clark Quay all the way to the Merlion Park and back. Experience the Singapore River and see the transformation from our heritage roots to the modern metropolis. Enjoy the city skyline and spectacular architecture of Marina Bay Sands, the ArtScience Museum, Fullerton Bay Hotel, Merlion Park and more. We then take a short stroll along the riverside and check out the colonial buildings turned restaurants and pubs.

Hop onto the bus next and get your cameras ready for great photo opportunities. We will pass by the Civilian War Memorial towards the Padang where our first ever National Day Parade was held in 1966. Here we alight to check out the various historic monuments at the Esplanade Park such as the Tan Kim Seng Fountain, Cenotaph, Indian National Army Monument and Lim Bo Seng Memorial. After passing by the various buildings on the river boat, we can now get up close to the historic buildings such as the Asian Civilisations Museum, Victoria Theatre & Concert Hall, Old Parliament House and Raffles Landing Site.

Following that, we shall hop back onto the bus for a slow ride into the heart of the modern Central Business District - the center for all commercial and financial activities. Through the Robinson Road and Shenton Way where the offices of some of the most prestigious companies, local or overseas are situated, before finally making our way back to the hotel.

 • Requires a minimum of 40 participants failing which the tour can be cancelled and fee will be refunded.
